Robbie Hoque gained his PhD in Philosophy of Religion from the School of Advanced Study, °®Æï¼§ of London, in 2023.
Robbie's dissertation on the role of the afterlife in contemporary theodicies proposed a new eschatological solution to the problem of evil involving an agency-based view of the afterlife and a neuro-physical account of free will.
More generally, Robbie’s interests include analytic methods of philosophy, comparative approaches to philosophy of religion and religious ethics, and Islamic analytic theology.
Robbie was awarded a Distinction for his MA in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics in Education at Heythrop College, °®Æï¼§ of London, for which he studied modules in Reason and Religion, Foundations of Ethics, Teaching Philosophy of Religion and Ethics, and Contemporary Islamic Thought.
