Dr Michael Hahn

Tutor in History of Christianity

Michael Hahn is a theologian, church historian and medievalist who gained a PhD from the °®Æï¼§ of St Andrews in 2020.

Having previously taught at St Andrews and York St John, alongside his teaching at the °®Æï¼§ of London, Michael teaches at Sarum College in Salisbury, where he is Programme Leader for Postgraduate Programmes in Christian Spirituality. He has also recently finished a Mellon Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Pontifical Institute of Mediaeval Studies in Toronto.

Michael’s research focuses on the late-medieval church, mystical theology and the Franciscans, and he is currently writing a monograph which will be published with Routledge, entitled Bonaventure, Angela of Foligno and Late-Medieval Mystical Theologies: Annihilation, Hierarchization and the Spirituality of Franciscans.
