Dr Elizabeth Burns
Programme Director for the Divinity Programmes by Distance and Flexible Learning at the °®ÆＧ of London
Dr Burns is Reader in Philosophy of Religion at the °®ÆＧ of London Worldwide and Doctoral Supervisor at the °®ÆＧ of London School of Advanced Study. She has been Programme Director for the °®ÆＧ of London Divinity Programmes by Distance and Flexible Learning for seventeen of the last twenty-one years.
Elizabeth studied for a Bachelor of Divinity at King’s College, London and a PhD in Philosophy of Religion at Queens’ College, Cambridge. She holds a PGCE in post compulsory education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. From 2000-2017 she taught Philosophy of Religion at Heythrop College, °®ÆＧ of London and has published in leading journals in her field.
As Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Heythrop College and Director of Taught Programmes at the Cambridge Theological Federation she gained considerable experience in the management, quality assurance and development of academic programmes.
