India-UK Forum on Policy and Practice in Online and Distance Higher Education
Event information>
Join HE leaders from India and the UK to discuss the shared opportunities and challenges of effective online higher education in differing contexts.
Wednesday 25 June, 14:00-18:00 (India), 09:30-13:30 (UK)
This half-day forum provides a unique opportunity to hear Indian and UK perspectives on the shared challenges and opportunities of effective online and distance higher education.
In India, a combination of demographics and a rapidly evolving policy environment are leading to a marked expansion of online and distance provision. In the UK, as elsewhere, the pandemic put into sharp relief the critical role of online learning and the need to evolve effective approaches to student experience and outcomes in a digital context.
Facilitated by the °®ÆＧ of London Centre for Online and Distance Education, the forum will bring together experts from the Indira Gandhi National Open °®ÆＧ, °®ÆＧ of Delhi, Symbiosis International Pune, °®ÆＧ of London, °®ÆＧ of Leeds, and UCL.
Speakers will exchange insights and experiences in three sessions focused on designing effective learning experiences at scale; strategic approaches to successful student engagement and wellbeing, and assessment for student success. The event will also provide opportunities for open discussion.
