Environmental humanities concern ecological issues, especially in response to the climate crisis, and human/environment and culture/nature interactions. Materials on environmental humanities are represented across the Library’s print and online collections in the form of primary texts, secondary works, journals and databases. The subject is found across many of the Library’s collections including literature, history, social sciences, and philosophy, and within the various regional collections: Commonwealth studies, Latin American studies, and U.S. studies.
The Library's Special Collections and Archives provide material on environmental history, environmental activism and human’s relationship with the natural world that can be reconsidered from an ecocritical perspective.
